Shopify is usually the connection that makes every other one more useful. Once orders and customers are flowing, purchase history becomes a filter you can segment on, and revenue can be attributed back to the campaign and segment that produced it rather than guessed at.

What moves, and which way

Integrations run in both directions. What follows is what this connection is for.

En Garde to Shopify

  • Customer tags for segment membership, so a segment built in En Garde is visible inside Shopify.

Shopify to En Garde

  • Orders, including line items, order value, currency, and discount usage.
  • Customer records, used to match Shopify buyers against En Garde audience data.
  • Products and variants, so segmentation can key on what someone actually bought.

Connecting it

You approve the connection on the platform itself. En Garde never sees your password — the platform hands back a token scoped to the permissions shown before you approve.

  1. Open Integrations in your Brand Space. The page is titled Connected Apps.
  2. Find the platform on the Integrations tab, using the search box or the category filter.
  3. Click Connect. A dialog lists the permissions En Garde will request.
  4. Continue to the platform. A popup opens on their site where you sign in and approve. If nothing appears, your browser blocked the popup — allow popups for En Garde and try again.
  5. Leave the popup open until it closes on its own. En Garde then checks the connection status and the card moves to Connected.

Worth knowing

  • Connect the store you want reporting for. Each Shopify store is a separate connection, and connections are scoped to one Brand Space.
  • Shopify POS is a separate catalog entry. Connect it as well if you sell in person and want register sales counted alongside online orders.
  • Shopify Payments is also listed separately under Payments — connect it if you want captured revenue and refunds, not just order records.
