Data Enrichment and OgaRiche

OgaRiche is En Garde's proprietary enrichment layer. A client hands you a customer list that is mostly emails and order totals. OgaRiche turns that into profiles you can segment on, target from, and judge creative against — including cultural affinity, which is the part no general-purpose enrichment vendor gives you.

What it adds to a record you already have

Starting from an email, phone number or name, an enriched profile can carry:

  • Identity — age range, gender, city and metro.
  • Professional context — job title, employer, industry, seniority, company size, and a business-relevance read where it applies.
  • Spending capacity — income bracket, homeownership and property value band, and an affluence score.
  • Reach — social following and its size band, creator status, verified public figure status, media mentions, and an influence score.
  • Commercial history — order count, total spend, average order value, first and last order dates, on the same record as everything above.
  • A VIP tier — bronze through diamond, with the reason codes behind the classification written out rather than implied.

Every area carries its own confidence figure and a freshness marker. That is the difference between a segment you can put behind a media plan and one you cannot: a thin probabilistic match and a strong deterministic one do not look the same in the interface, so you can set the bar where the spend justifies it.

Resolving who is who, and running it

Enrichment is only useful if the anonymous session and the known customer are recognised as the same person. OgaRiche resolves identity across site behaviour and customer records — deterministically where an exact match exists, probabilistically or by device signals where it does not — and records the method and a match confidence each time, so you can see how much of the picture is inferred.

  1. Work in Customer Profiles under Audience. The table shows job title and company, affluence, influence and VIP tier per customer, and how many records are still unenriched.
  2. Filter to the population you care about: search by name, email or job title, then filter by VIP tier, affluence range, influence range, industry, enriched status, and whether the customer has ordered.
  3. Run enrichment across everything, across unenriched records only, or across a selection. It runs as a background job with visible progress.
  4. Define your own VIP rules — create them, test them against real customer data before they go live, and set their priority order. Tiering is a rule set you control, not a fixed model handed to you.
  5. Watch consumption. Enrichment is metered against your plan, with usage, remaining balance, month-by-month history, alerts before you hit the ceiling, and what a higher plan changes. Profiles can be exported at any point.

Cultural affinity as a targeting dimension

Conventional enrichment tells you someone is a 34-year-old marketing manager in Atlanta. Useful, and identical to what every competitor can buy. OgaRiche also carries cultural affinity across the audience: which cultural communities the customers lean into and how strongly, aggregated so you can see the cultural composition of a base rather than guess at it from names and postcodes.

It earns its place in three ways: it grounds the En Garde Score so creative is judged against the audience actually being reached, it is what the cultural affinity labels on ad inventory match against when a segment becomes a placement list, and it gives segmentation a dimension that proxies such as interest categories, language settings and geography approximate badly. Affinity operates as a signal inside those features rather than as a field you hand-edit on a profile.

The En Garde Score

The En Garde Score judges whether work actually lands with the culture it is aimed at. It scores out of 100 across five weighted dimensions — cultural authenticity and representation carry the most weight, then language and tone, then cultural sensitivity and community resonance — and resolves into a plain band from exceptional down to poor.

You can score ad copy, visual creative, landing pages and ad placements, individually or in batches. Each result returns dimension-level reasoning, the specific strengths and gaps found, and prioritised recommendations with the improvement each is expected to deliver — usable in a creative review rather than just a number in a deck. Scores keep their history, so a rewrite can be checked against the version it replaced, and placement scores can be overridden when your own judgement says otherwise. Scores surface on ad inventory and as a badge on campaign and funnel records with a score view behind them.

What keeps it from being an opinion is grounding. Alongside its read of the work, the score takes in how campaigns have actually performed against the cultural audiences in question, the cultural affinity spread of the enriched base, and real conversions from the client's own site. It also reports how much of that evidence was available: with little connected it is a considered judgement, and with the client's data flowing it is a judgement calibrated against outcomes. Treat a score from an empty account accordingly.

Culturally adapted copy variants

Give the platform a piece of copy and a cultural audience and it returns several variants rather than one. Each is tied to the score dimension it is working on — authenticity, representation, language and tone, sensitivity, community resonance — with an explanation of what changed, and each can then be scored. That gives a creative test a stated hypothesis per variant instead of alternatives that differ in unspecified ways. The same step is built into the campaign recreation flow as its own stage. One limit worth knowing: the cultural context behind the variants currently comes from standard audience profiles rather than from the client's own enriched records.

Competitor audience mapping

Point the platform at a competitor and their targeting is mapped onto cultural audience profiles: which profiles they overlap with and how strongly, an overlap figure for the audience overall, the segments nobody is serving properly, and a ranked shortlist of expansion opportunities with potential reach and cultural relevance on each, plus recommendations on where to move first — a whitespace exercise you can run before a pitch rather than after a quarter of spend.

As with copy variants, the profiles used for matching are a standard cultural set today rather than profiles generated from the client's own enriched audience — strong for finding gaps, weak for sizing a media plan to the pound. Separately, ads saved while browsing social platforms land in your Ad Library already carrying a cultural score, so competitor creative is comparable with your own on the same scale.

Why this is a moat, plainly

Enrichment on its own is a commodity. The part that is not is the loop: enriched profiles carry cultural affinity, affinity grounds the En Garde Score, the score decides which creative and placements are worth buying, and results from those placements calibrate the next score — without you integrating three vendors to get there.

  • Cultural affinity is a first-class attribute rather than something inferred from demographics after the fact.
  • Scoring is calibrated by campaign and conversion outcomes on the same platform, not by model judgement alone.
  • The publishers behind the multicultural ad inventory sit on this platform too, so the audience signal behind a placement is first-hand.
  • Data sourcing behind enrichment is managed centrally by En Garde, including failover between sources, so coverage is not your vendor management problem.
  • Enriched records and social engagement land in one analytics picture, so the same person is one person across store, email and social.

Downstream, that context is used rather than filed: the on-site assistant adapts tone and recommendations for a high-value or influential customer, and the platform raises a suggestion for a human to review when a VIP, an influencer or a high-intent visitor appears — suggestions wait for approval rather than acting alone. Enrichment is metered per plan and scoped per Brand Space, and coverage varies by record, which is why every enriched field carries a confidence figure beside it.
